Trouble had an initial surgery in December to have a stent placed, but required a second procedure when the trachea began collapsing beyond the reach of the stent. He is home now, recovering from the treatment and getting his strength back. Fuzz has a good prognosis but still needs check ups every few months to make sure the cancer does not return. The Zach Memorial Fund helped with his expenses. |  |

Adam has severe hip dysplasia, and prior to the surgery his hind leg would "pop" out of joint and he would have to hobble around until the leg went back into place. Firefighters rescued the dogs and were able to resuscitate both at the scene. The dogs were taken for emergency veterinary care, where Maggie, the more seriously hurt of the two, required hospitalization and some extended care. She has recovered, and was able to return to her thankful owner and be reunited with her sibling. |  |

 | TEDDIE – AUGUST 2006: is a 11 year old Beagle and former rescue dog who finally found a loving home, only to be diagnosed with a ruptured disc in his back. Teddie underwent successful surgery to repair the problem, and is continuing to recover at home. |  |

 | LEXIE – AUGUST 2006: was a much loved 4 year old Rottweiler that bravely fought a protein deficiency for more than two years. Despite excellent care, a special diet, frequent medications, and a fighting spirit, she was unfortunately not able to survive her disease. |  |
