 | DUKE WELLINGTON - JANUARY 2005: is a 9-month old German Shepherd who had an ulnar nerve blockage in his elbow. He underwent orthopedic surgery and has made an excellent recovery. |

| Picture Not Available | ROSIE - JANUARY 2005: a 7 year old Rottweiler who was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Prior to beginning chemotherapy, Rosie was placed in the hospital to stabilize her. Unfortunately it was discovered that the disease was too far advanced and she did not survive. |

 | GRACIE - JANUARY 2005: is a 4 year old Sheltie that was hit by a car in late 2004. Her owners at the time did not secure proper veterinary care for her, and she was recently rescued and underwent major surgery to free her from the pain and fix her dislocated joints. Following surgery Gracie spent some time in Vet re-hab and is continuing to make excellent progress with her recovery. |  |

 | EARS - JANUARY 2005: is a 8 year old Greyhound diagnosed with a soft-tissue sarcoma in his tail. In order to remove the cancer, his tail was successfully amputated and Ears is making a wonderful recovery. The Zach Memorial Fund provided the necessary funds to help Ears. |

 | COCO - FEBRUARY 2005: a 15 year old Chihuahua with decreased appetite and weight loss. It was determined upon exam that he had gingivitis, and a large abscess was also found around the lower left canine. Following a dental procedure, Coco went home with antibiotics, but returned a few days later because he wasn't responding to the therapy. Further exam indicated a more severe problem and sadly, he was not able to survive. |  |

 | STING - FEBRUARY 2005: is a 14-month old German Shepherd who was rescued by his current owners at 6 months of age, then diagnosed with severe elbow dysplasia. Sting needed extensive orthopedic surgery, which went very well. He is expected to make a full recovery. |  |

 | SUKI - FEBRUARY 2005: is a six month old Shepherd mix who was found as a stray and adopted by her present owner with a multitude of health issues. She had sarcoptic mange, but more critical was a severe urinary tract infection that would not go away. Specialized treatment was required to stabilize her, and surgery was recently performed to correct the problem. |  |

| Picture Not Available | BAXTER - FEBRUARY 2005: an eleven year old Basset Hound who had a significantly enlarged spleen. A splenectomy was performed and the lab report indicated there was a hematoma within his spleen that was the cause of the problem. |  |

 | STU - APRIL 2005: is a 1 year old rescued Labrador Retriever mix that was found to have heartworms. Stu has completed his heartworm treatments and is doing well. |  |

 | VIOLET - APRIL 2005: is a 10 year old Husky diagnosed with Lymphoma. The Zach Memorial Fund is helping with Violet's expenses for chemotherapy, and she is currently in remission and doing well. |  |

 | SAMMY - MAY 2005: is a 7 year old Boxer mix with gingival hyperplasia. This is an abnormal amount of gum tissue that in Sammy's case had grown to point where he was in pain and had limited ability to eat. The excess tissue was surgically removed with a laser and Sammy has made a full recovery. |  |

 | MADISON - MAY 2005: a 6 year old Retriever mix who was diagnosed with a Mast Cell tumor and adenocarcinoma. An initial surgery was performed to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, further workups showed that the adenocarcinoma was very aggressive and had progressed significantly. Madison was not able to overcome her illness. The Zach Memorial Fund for dogs with cancer provided financial assistance for Madison. |

 | BAILEY - JULY 2005: is a 6 year old Cocker Spaniel that escaped from his owners into the road and was hit by a car. Bailey sustained a badly broken elbow that required delicate surgery to repair. Bailey is recovering and will eventually regain full use of his injured limb. |  |

 | MAVERICK – JULY 2005: an 11 year old Malinois diagnosed with extraskeletal osteosarcoma. Maverick’s treatment included an amputation of one front leg and follow-up chemotherapy. He is currently continuing his chemo and is doing well. Maverick is the “demo dog” for a dog obedience school and has returned to work. The Zach Memorial Fund assisted with his expenses. |  |
