Ashley's Angel Fund Inc. is a nonprofit organization
providing monetary assistance for veterinary care to dog owners whose
pet is facing a life-threatening condition. By providing financial
assistance in time of critical need, Ashley's Angel Fund seeks to
perpetuate the bond that exists between people and their pets.
Ashley's Angel Fund is home to the Zach Memorial Fund,
specifically for dogs with cancer, and the Ashley Fund for non-cancer
cases.
ANDO - JANUARY 2003: is a two year old German Shepherd who was hit by a car when he darted into the road during a game of catch. He had hip surgery and is recovering well at home.
GOLDIE - MARCH 2003: a four-year-old golden retriever that was found on the road after having been hit by a car and likely attacked by other dogs. Goldie was adopted immediately by the family that found her. She had multiple injuries including a damaged knee. After several surgeries, she is now safely in her new home.

SPIKE - APRIL 2003: a seven-year-old english bulldog who had lost feelings in his back legs. Successful back surgery was performed and Spike is home recuperating.

BRENT - MAY 2003: an 11 year old golden retriever with lymphoma. Brent was assisted by the Zach Memorial Fund, a special fund within Ashley's Angel Fund for dogs with cancer. Brent had several treatments and was doing well, but unfortunately he recently lost his battle with the disease.

JAKE - MAY 2003: a 3 year old labrador retriever mix who was adopted and then determined to have heartworms. He was successfully treated.

CAPTAIN - MAY 2003: a young golden retriever who was a rescued stray, suffering with a severe leg fracture. He underwent major orthopedic surgery and is now doing well.
AUSTIN - JUNE 2003: is a five year old Sheltie with heartworms. Austin was recently treated and is responding well.
CHAUNCEY - JUNE 2003: a 2 year old Sheltie with heartworms who was just treated successfully.
CAYLEAH - JUNE 2003: a 5 year old Sheltie who was rescued and then diagnosed with heartworms. She is doing well after treatment.

GIBSON - JULY 2003: a 6 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. The Zach Memorial Fund provided financial assistance for a leg amputation, which should provide a good quality of life for an extended period.
ROCKY - JULY 2003: a 12-year old German Shepherd mix with rectal adenomas. Rocky underwent successful surgery and is back to his old self.

MAGGIE - AUGUST 2003: a 2 year old Beagle that was rescued and adopted, then diagnosed with heartworms. Maggie was treated successfully and has completely recovered. She is enjoying being part of a family.

LUKE - AUGUST 2003: is a 9 month old Labrador Retriever mix that had successful knee surgery and is doing well.

JUDE - SEPTEMBER 2003: an 11 year old Cocker Spaniel that was diagnosed with and treated for cancer. Jude received assistance from the Zach Memorial Fund. Unfortunately the cancer was more advanced than suspected and Jude recently lost his battle with the disease.

BRADLEY - SEPTEMBER 2003: is a Golden Retriever puppy with a bladder disease. He received treatment and although his long term prognosis is guarded, he is enjoying a good quality of life with his family.
TUX - OCTOBER 2003: an eight-month old Border Collie / Retriever mix who had a broken leg. Surgery successfully repaired the fracture and he is moving around just fine now.

LUCKY - SEPTEMBER 2003: a ten month old mixed breed who was rescued from the street and adopted. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with heartworms along with several other medical problems. The treatment went well and he is happy and "lucky" to be part of a family.
TUCKER - NOVEMBER 2003: is a five month old German Shepherd that had to have elbow surgery. He has completed his recovery from the procedure and is doing well.

TISA - DECEMBER 2003: an eight year old Chow with Addison's Disease. He is undergoing treatment and is responding well.

MITCHELL CHASE - DECEMBER 2003: a young Golden Retriever that had to have a hip replacement to alleviate severe pain. Without the surgery his quality of life would have continued to be very poor. Now he is feeling much better and should continue to improve.
