 | SHIRLEY MARIE – JANUARY 2002: is a 10 year old basset hound with an intestinal obstruction. Surgery was required but now she is doing much better. Shirley Marie is a therapy dog and is looking forward to returning to work soon. |

 | KEEPER – JANUARY 2002: is a 4-5 year old mixed breed and former rescue dog who was recently adopted and then diagnosed with heartworms. He has been through his first treatment and is doing quite well. Keeper has an excellent prognosis. |

| Picture Not Available | LUCKY – JANUARY 2002: is an 8 week old mixed breed puppy with multiple fractures and head trauma. He had surgery to repair the fractures and is continuing to make a slow but steady recovery at this time. |

 | ABBY – JANUARY 2002: is a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrior that had an enlarged heart. She received some initial treatment to address the problem and is back to her old self again. |

 | LADY – FEBRUARY 2002: is a maltese poodle who had complications from diabetes. She is doing very well after receiving veterinary care. Lady was rescued by her current owner after being abandoned. She is happy to be back home again after her hospitalization. |

 | ANGEL – FEBRUARY 2002: is a 4 year old Boxer who was recently diagnosed with mast cell cancer. Angel is receiving assistance from the Zach Memorial within Ashley's Angel Fund. She is being treated with chemotherapy at this time. |

 | JANE – FEBRUARY 2002: is a 4 month old mixed breed puppy with Parvo. She has completed her treatments and is doing well. |

 | CUTRITE – MARCH 2002: is a 4 year old greyhound with a severe heart condition. Her condition is under control at this point thanks to the care she received. |

 | SUMMER – APRIL 2002: is a seven year old boxer and mother to Angel, a February Ashley's Angel Fund recipient. By unfortunate coincidence, Summer was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor shortly after her daughter. She has gone through cancer treatments and is currently doing well. |

| Picture Not Available | ARIZONA - APRIL 2002: was a six year old shepherd mix. She was operated on for an intestinal blockage which turned out to be an aggressive and advanced cancer. Sadly, she was not able to overcome the disease. |

| Picture Not Available | JAKE - APRIL 2002: is a golden retriever who had multiple medical traumas. Ashley's Angel Fund provided financial support for a hip replacement, which was needed in order to allow Jake to live a pain-free life. He is doing well. |

| Picture Not Available | PETRIE - MAY 2002: is a three year old greyhound with a heart condition. Thanks to medication which she will be on for the rest of her life, she is holding her own and enjoying time with her family. |

| Picture Not Available | ALLIE - MAY 2002: is a springer spaniel who contracted a set of mysterious medical problems. She was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and had other complications as well. She is home now, being fed through a stomach tube, but is getting stronger every day. |

 | BRIANNA - JUNE 2002: is a beautiful golden retriever who was rescued, adopted, and then discovered to have heartworms. She is fully recovered from her successful treatment now and lives happily with her adoptive family. |

| Picture Not Available | ROXIE - JULY 2002: had kidney failure of an unknown origin. Roxie was treated and recovered well enough to return home to her family. Unfortunately, her problems returned and she lost her battle several weeks later. |

 | CLYDE - AUGUST 2002: escaped from his owners and tried to cross a busy street, where he was hit by a car and sustained a severely broken leg. His surgery went well and he is getting around just fine now. |

 | PRISSY - SEPTEMBER 2002: a two year old mixed breed terrier, had intervertibral disk disease and was paralyzed. She had successful back surgery, returned home, and is doing well. |

 | NATASHA - OCTOBER 2002: a five year old mixed breed, had a leg fracture that was successfully repaired through surgery. |

| Picture Not Available | JINGLEBELLS - OCTOBER 2002: a five year old daschund, was suffering from a compressed disc in her back. Surgery successfully corrected the problem. |

| Picture Not Available | TRIO - OCTOBER 2002: was found along the side of the road by a good samaritan who also adopted him. He had been hit by a car and had several broken bones. His leg was too severely injured to be saved, so it was amputated. He has adjusted well to three legs and lives happily now with his new family. |

 | NIKO - NOVEMBER 2002: a four year old husky, escaped from the back yard along with his sibling and was gone for a week. When he was found, he had several injuries, most severe of which was to his paw. He lost several toes but the doctors believe that with his treatments, he will not have to have the paw amputated. He is still under care but is doing well. |

| Picture Not Available | CASEY - NOVEMBER 2002: is a young Sheltie that had to have hip surgery. It was initially thought that she might need a hip replacement, but the doctors successfully performed an "FHO" that fixed the problem. |

 | DUKE - NOVEMBER 2002: is a one year old Labrador Retriever who had a bladder obstruction. It was diagnosed as bladder stones, which were successfully removed so that DUKE could make it home in time for Thanksgiving. |

| Picture Not Available | MOLASSES - DECEMBER 2002 is a seven-month old mixed breed who broke away from his young handler and was hit by a car in the street. Molasses had a badly broken leg that was repaired successfully by surgery. He made it home before Christmas, which was a great gift for his family. |

| Picture Not Available | WESLEY - DECEMBER 2002: is a young Golden Retriever with a bladder problem. He is on currently medication and is getting much better. It is possible he may still need surgery but his doctors are optimistic that it won't be necessary. |
