Ashley's Angel Fund Inc. is a nonprofit organization
providing monetary assistance for veterinary care to dog owners whose
pet is facing a life-threatening condition. By providing financial
assistance in time of critical need, Ashley's Angel Fund seeks to
perpetuate the bond that exists between people and their pets.
Ashley's Angel Fund is home to the Zach Memorial Fund,
specifically for dogs with cancer, and the Ashley Fund for non-cancer
cases.
KALILA – JANUARY 2001:a 2 year old Rottweiler and former rescue dog who had a bacterial infection in her leg stemming back to her rescue days. The infection had spread into the muscle and had formed a large mass, restricting her ability to walk.
JOSH – FEBRUARY 2001:a nine year old Basenji with severe liver disease. Josh’s condition was critical, but he made an excellent recovery thanks to several medical procedures and medication.

KING – FEBRUARY 2001:a Golden / Labrador mix who had a severe skin condition. He was literally scratching himself to death!
BOO BOO – MARCH 2001:a mixed-breed Shepherd who had stopped eating and was listless. His owners feared the worst but it was determined that he had parasites.

MRS. DOUBTFIRE – MARCH 2001:was hit by a car and suffered a broken leg. She was in a lot of pain and couldn't move around comfortably. Her leg was repaired through surgery.

KOOTER BUG – MARCH 2001: is a 12 week old Pekinese puppy that developed a very bad eye infection. His eye could not be saved, so it was surgically removed and sutured.

RUBIE - MAY 2001: a five year old English Bulldog that had to have extensive surgery to remove an infectious mass.
GABBY - JULY 2001: a five-month-old Pekinese, who had traumatic hemothorax - blood in her chest. She was very critical for a while, but recovered after extensive treatment.
JACK - JULY 2001: a four year old Jack Russell terrier / poodle mix who contracted heartworms.
LEO and MAYA - JULY 2001: two German Shepherd puppies being treated for parvo.They were originally part of a litter of eight, half of which succumbed to this dreaded disease. Leo in particular had a rough go of it but both survived.

CINDY - JULY 2001: a four-month-old Dalmation puppy that was kicked in the head by a cow.Although seriously injured, surgery to mend the fracture was very successful.
SYLVIE - JULY 2001:an eight-year-old Golden Retriever with numerous medical problems, mostly stemming from heartworms. It was a long road back for this girl but she made it!
CINNAMON - AUGUST 2001: an eleven-year-old Pomeranian who was suffering complications from diabetes.
SWEETIE - AUGUST 2001:a four-year-old American Bulldog who was stricken with heartworms.
KENO - OCTOBER 2001: an eight-month-old collie mix who had parvo.

LASSIE – NOVEMBER 2001: a seven-month-old mixed breed puppy who had parvo.
TOBY - DECEMBER 2001: a nine-year-old husky mix who had a mast-cell tumor removed from his leg. Toby was the first dog to benefit from the Zach Memorial, specifically for dogs with cancer.
