| Who are we? Veterinary Specialty Hospital is a 24 hour, multi specialty and emergency hospital located at 6405 Tryon Road in Cary North Carolina. Our specialty services include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology (Medical and Radiation) and Dentistry. Our Emergency Service doctors are here nights, weekends and holidays to care for sick or injured pets and for the hospitalized patients. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary medical, surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic services available. What is a veterinary specialist? Just as your physician may suggest that you see a specialist to further investigate a problem or receive special treatment, your veterinarian may suggest that your pet see a veterinary specialist. From 9am to 6pm on weekdays, the veterinary specialists at our hospital see only patients that are referred to us by a veterinarian. These pets are often sent because they require extensive testing or special equipment. | | How does the Emergency Service work? Veterinarians with advanced training staff the emergency service. The goal of our emergency medicine is to stabilize your pet until the daytime specialist can pursue a detailed diagnosis and treatment of your pet or until your veterinarian reopens and can continue your pets care at their practice. Our Emergency Service operates Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 8am, Friday 5pm to Monday 8am and all holidays. If you feel that your pet is in pain or significant discomfort, it is important to have them examined by a doctor.
